Saqib is one of those actors in the showbiz who had to go through a lot of struggle in order to get recognized by the public. Though he got that recognition after serving for many years in showbiz yet he is enjoying his stardom these days. The character that became his identity is Rafiq Ali that Saqib played in the superhit drama Raqeeb Se.

In 2006 he gave an audition for NAPA and got selected among 500 other candidates. It is how his struggle journey started. He took the education of NAPA for 3 years and graduated in 2008. He did a lot of plays in the theatre including Shakespeare in different cities of Pakistan. It would be right to call him the king of theatre.

He was born on 17th October in Bahawalpur. Later, he came to Karachi and is living there since 2006 with his family.

Saqib Sumeer Education

Saqib did his graduation in Computer Science from Bahawalpur. Later at the end of 2005, he reached Karachi to do his master’s in Computer science. However, destiny had decided something else for him. Instead of doing his masters, he took admission in NAPA in order to learn acting.

Saqib belongs to a middle-class and educated family where no one has any links to the showbiz industry. He had to convince his family of his acting career at the start.

Initial Career

Saqib is one of those actors who started his journey with theatre and till now he prefers to do theatre. Coming from a middle-class background his success journey is highly impressive and a lesson for many newcomers. He took education from NAPA and completed his graduation in 3 years. Saqib has been a part of many big plays and earned huge success and fame there.

Dramas

In 2012, Saqib made his small-screen debut after polishing his skills in theatre. Later, he became a part of one of the blockbusters serials Pyarey Afzal. He might play a small character in the drama yet it became a path for him to enter the small screen. Later, his drama Dumpukht Aatish e Ishq on Aplus also got a huge response from the audience.

Despite these few dramas he did in the past, 2021 remained luck for him throughout. In 2021, he was given the role of Rafiq Ali in the superhit drama Raqeeb Se starring Noman Ijaz, Iqra Aziz, Sania Saeed, and others. From this serial people started acknowledging this talent. Later, he appeared in the blockbuster serial Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 opposite Feroze Khan.

Films

In 2017, Saqib introduced his writing skills to the work by writing a movie Mehrunisa V Lub U. Apart from writing the movie he also acted as dual characters in the movie. The movie cast includes Danish Taimoor, Sana Javed, Qavi Khan, Javed Sheikh, and others. However, he has never been into writing and has no interest in it.
