2013 General Elections
He ran for the provincial Assembly seat in the 2013 General Elections on the ticket of Pashtunkhwan Mili Awami Party and gave major defeat to his opponent. During his tenure, he was appointed as a Revenue Minister.
Disqualification
In March 2018, he was disqualified from the seat of the Provincial Assembly because of violating the party voting rules. The Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified him on Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s Application. He cast his vote to the other party instead of giving it to his own party members. After which, his name was eliminated from the list of MPAs of Balochistan.
2021 Senate Elections
He contested the 2021 Senate Elections from Balochistan Awami Party and fortunately grabbed the maximum votes. BAP became one of the strongest political parties after their major victory in the Senate Elections. The elections held on 3rd March 2021.
