Political Career
- He ran for the Provincial Assembly seat in 2002 Pakistan General Elections from the Constituency PP-248 (Rajanpur-II) while being attached to PMLN. He gave defeat to his competitive Shahik Haider Khan Gorchani. He held the seat on 25th November 2002. He appointed as a minister of Finance and member of Finance Committee.
- He again raced for the seat of the Provincial Assembly in 2018 Pakistan General Elections while being attached to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf from the Constituency PP-294 (Rajanpur-II) and faced victory. After taking an oath, he given the charge of Provincial Minister of Punjab for livestock and dairy development.
- In September 2018 a magistrate from Rajanpur charged his family of illicitly meddling in transfers and postings of individuals from the Revenue Department and authorities of the Border Military Police.
