- Her political career started in 1997 when she was chosen as Vice Chairperson, District Council, Rahim Yar Khan. In 2002 Pakistan General Elections she ran for the seat of National Assembly from the Constituency NA-193 (Rahim Yar Khan-II) while being associated with Pakistan Muslim League N but unfortunately she lost the seat to Pakistan Peoples party candidate Syed Tanveer Hussain Syed. In 2008 General Elections she was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly on a reserved seat for women and gave defeat to her opponent.
- In 2013 she again came as a member of the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women while being attached to the same party. After completing her tenure of 5 years she is again chosen as a member of the National Assembly in 2018 Pakistan General Elections on a reserved seat.
