Sardar Shafqat Hayat Khan Biography

Shafqat Hayat Khan is a Pakistani politician who worked as a member of the National Assembly as a part of Pakistan Muslim League N. He belongs to Sargodha from where he contested the elections. Shafqat Hayat has functioned as a Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis in the past.

Political Career

2002 Elections

He contested 2002 General Elections for Provincial Assembly seat from PP-37 Sargodha Constituency while being affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League N. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it to the finals and lost a seat from an independent candidate.

2008 Elections

In the next elections, he again ran for the Provincial Assembly seat as an independent candidate from PP-37 Sargodha Constituency but again faced defeat. However, in 2010 by-elections he elected as a member of the National Assembly and gave defeat to his candidate. He ran from the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League N.

2013 Elections

In 2013 Pakistan General elections, he again became a member of the National Assembly from NA-68 Sargodha Constituency from the same party. After taking an oath, he was given the ministry of Human Resource Development and Overseas Pakistan where he functioned as a parliamentary secretary. He also worked in the Ministry of Inter provincial Coordination.
