Santosh Kumar Biography

Santosh was a notable name in the field of the showbiz industry who is an inspiration for every junior actor. He has worked in numerous Pakistani films and has always shown his versatility in every movie. Though he was born in India but after the partition, his family migrated to Pakistan.

He was married to Sabiha Khanum, a celebrated and beautiful Pakistani film actress. Both developed a deep understanding on set while shooting for a movie. In an interview, he told the media that he has served as a Foreign Minister of the film industry. He is no more with us, but people still remember him due to the tremendous work he gave throughout his career.

Because of his awareness, he has always represented Pakistan positively in abroad meetings. He once told that he had been once appointed as a foreign minister of the film industry in an interview.

Debut in Films

Kumar tried his luck in acting when one of his friends encouraged him for the auditions. He got selected, and in 1946 his first movie ‘Ahensa’ was released in India. He had all the qualities that an actor should possessed, including Good looks and acting. Later, he started getting many offers, and it is how his journey started.

After Partition

After the partition, he moved to Lahore along with his family, and he started doing films in Pakistan. In Pakistan, his debut movie was ‘Beli.’ Later, he started doing many films and received praise and love.

Stardom

Soon he started getting acknowledgment from every director, and people couldn’t stop praising his acting skills. He has been a part of many super hit movies, including Devar bhabhi, Anjuman, Naila, Mausiqaar, Majboor, and many more. He has worked with almost every female star at that time.

Santosh Kumar died at the young age of 52 after serving the film industry for 35 years. He died on 11th June 1982. His last movie, ‘Deewanai Do’ released after his death.
