Rafique Rajwana Biography
Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana is a lawyer and Pakistani politician who has served as a Senator for 2 terms in the past on the party ticket of Pakistan Muslim League N. In 2014 he was made Parliamentary Committee’s Chairman.
Rajwana has been Lahore High Court’s Chairman in 1996 before entering politics. His son Asif Rajwana is also serving in the same field.

Career
Establishment of Law Firm
He started his career in 1987 by being affiliated with Judiciary. However, he resigned because of starting his law firm with the name ‘Rajwana & Rajwana.’
As a President
In 1996 he was made the Multan’s High Court bar’s President. During his tenure, he worked on many core areas including Arbitration, Company, Civil and Alternate Dispute Resolution. He also appointed as the Supreme Court’s senior Advocate.
As a Senator
In 1997 he was made the member of the Senate Assembly from Southern Punjab on the party ticket of PMLN. After completing the tenure, he re-appointed as a Senator on 12th March 2012 till 2015. During his tenure, he served on many Ministries including Human Rights, Law Justice, Devolution process, Government Assurances, and Foreign affairs.

In 2014 he was elected as a Parliamentary’s Committee Chairman.
As a Governor
In 2015 he was made Punjab’s Governor when Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar resigned from the post. He served on that post till 2018. Afterwards, Ghulam Sarwar once again became the Governor.
