He was born on 1st January 1952 in Battagram.
He ran for the seat of the National Assembly in 2002 General Elections from NA-22 Constituency as a part of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal. He gave defeat to the candidate of PMLQ member by attaining 24092 votes.
In 2008 Elections, he again ran for the National Assembly seat from the same Constituency but unfortunately, faced defeat.
He again elected as a member of the National Assembly from NA-22 Constituency as a member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. He attained maximum votes by defeating an independent candidate.
