Pir Muhammad Ashraf Rasool hails from Lahore is a Pakistani Politician who is currently functioning as a member of the Provincial Assembly after winning the Pakistan General Elections while being attached to Pakistan Muslim League N. He has served as a Nazim of the Local Government in the past and has returned to the Assembly for the third time.

- He ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly for the first time in 2002 Pakistan General Elections from the Constituency PP-164 (Sheikhupura-III) while being associated with Pakistan Muslim League N but unfortunately he faced defeat from his opponent. However he served as Nazim, Union Council No.27 Ferozewala till 2001 and worked as Leader of the Opposition.
- In 2008 Pakistan General Elections he once again ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly from the Constituency PP-164 (Sheikhupura-III) affiliated with the same party and gave defeat to his opponent. During his tenure he got a chance to serve as a Parliamentary Secretary for Forestry, Fisheries and Wildlife.
- After the completion of his tenure he left the party and join Pakistan Muslim League Q and ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly in 2013 Pakistan General Elections from the Constituency PP-164 (Sheikhupura-III) and gave defeat to his opponent.
- He is re-elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly in the 2018 Pakistan General Elections from the Constituency PP-137 (Sheikhupura-III) while being attached to Pakistan Muslim League N.
