Ghulam Murtaza Khan is a politician from Pakistan who is associated with PMLN for a long time. He has served as an MNA and MPA previously while being affixed with many notable positions. He did his best to sort out the energy crisis on the Strategic and operating level.

Initial Career
He started his career as a politician in 1979 when he was made Chairman of the District Council.
1988 General Elections
He ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly in the 1988 General Elections for the first time and, fortunately, won the seat with the highest votes.
1990 General Elections
In the 1990 General Elections, he was elected as a member of the National Assembly and was made the Communication Minister from 1990 to 1992.
1993 General Elections
He was again elected as a National Assembly member in the 1993 General Elections. He was appointed as Overseas Pakistani’s Minister for a short time.
1997 General Elections
For the 1997 General Elections, he contested for the provincial Assembly seat and again faced victory. He was made the Minister for Irrigation from 1997 to 2002.
2002 General Elections
After winning the elections of 2002, he was given the post of Sindh’s advisor on Agriculture. Till 2007, he served on that post. In 2004 he joined a political party, National Peoples Party. He remained associated with the party till 2013. Jatoi also served as the party’s president.
2008 General Elections
He was again made a member of the National Assembly in the 2008 General Elections.
2013 General Elections
In 2013, his party collaborated with PMLN, and he contested for the National Assembly seat on the party ticket of PMLN. He was made the Minister for Production and Industries. Later, after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, he was stopped from operating any Ministry.
However, after Shahid Khaqan Abbasi made the Prime Minister, he was again appointed to the same Ministries. He served on the post till 31st May 2018.
