Azhar Qayyum Biography
Azhar Qayyum Nahra is a Pakistani politician who is associated with the Pakistan Muslim League N since 2010 when he for the first time ran for the seat of the National Assembly in By-Elections. He has furnished his services as a Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Postal Services and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Water and Power in the past when he was appointed as a member of the National Assembly in 2013.

He did his schooling from Govt. High School Nowshera virkan. Later he went to the University of Punjab from where he attained the degree of Bachelors.
Political Career
- He started his political Career in 2010 when he ran for the seat of the National Assembly in the by-elections from Constituency NA-100 (Gujranwala-VI) as a member of the Pakistan Muslim League N but unfortunately, he faced defeat from his opponent Chaudhry Tussadiq Masud Khan ( a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party). In 2013 General Elections he ran for the same seat and from the same Constituency while being attached to the same party. He became successful and gave defeat to his competitive by receiving maximum votes.
- During his tenure from 2013 to 2018, he was inducted as the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Water and Power and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Postal Services by then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. In the 2018 General Elections he is again chosen as a member of the National Assembly from Constituency NA-84 (Gujranwala-VI).
