Ayaz Amir Biography
Ayaz is a witty and humorous man who knows how to capture attention with his writings. He is never afraid to speak his heart. Amir remained associated with DAWN Newspaper for many years, but later, he joined ‘The News International.’ One of the controversial stories he wrote was regarding the 1965 War between Pakistan and India.
He is also a seasonal Pakistani politician who has operated as an MPA on the party ticket of PMLN and as an MNA on the party ticket of PTI. Ayaz also served as a Captain in the Army and also hosted a few shows on ARY One. He doesn’t support Religion Extremists and calls himself a liberal man. He also remained in imprisonment.

Career
As a Captain Army
He started his career with PMA, where he served as a Cadet Officer. After a few years, he was given the post of Captain in the Pakistan Army. However, he gave resignation and associated himself with foreign service.
As a Politician
He started his political career in 1990 when he was elected as a member of the provincial Assembly for the first time in the 1990 General Elections on PMLN’s party ticket. In 1998 he left the party and again joined it in 2002.
Later, he ran for the seat of the National Assembly in the 2008 General Elections on the same party ticket and fortunately won the highest votes. After completing the tenure, he left the party and became a part of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.
As a Journalist
He earned huge acclaim in his journalism career. Most of his writings are based on the Pakistan Army’s role in politics. He also wrote about the 1965 war between Pakistan and India, which is his most controversial writing. According to him, today’s army battle hard and are strong as compared to the previous Army.
