Eid ul Fitr, also known as the \u2018Fast Breaking Festival\u2019 or \u2018Choti Eid,\u2019 or merely \u2018Eid,\u2019 is a Muslim religious celebration that marks the completion of Ramadan’s month-long fasting. In the Islamic calendar it occurs on the 1st day of Shawwal, however, the beginning of every lunar Hijri month differs based on the sighting of the new moon by local religious authorities.<\/p>\n
