Pakistani swimmer who became a national sensation at the Pakistan National Games in 2001, winning seven gold medals despite being the youngest swimmer at the Games. In 2008, she received the Fatima Jinnah Youth Icon Award.  About - Kiran Khan
She was born in Lahore and began swimming at age three.
She has broken Pakistani records in nearly every women's swimming event, including the 400 meter freestyle and 200 meter individual medley.
She has been coached by her father, former international swimmer Khalid Zaman.
She and English swimmer Adrian Turner both competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Since 2007 till date, she is representing Pak Army at national level and have won many medals. It is always hard work that pays off at the end. Armed Forces are defenders of the frontiers and it is an honour for her to remain associated with Pak Army. she have so far won 80-100 medals at national level after having joined Pakistan Army team. Even while swimming deep into water under the surface, she always think of bringing respect to Pakistan and spirit of Army keeps her going swifter.

Playing with water has been her passion since childhood. As a kid she was not inspired to swim but was attracted more to play in water with all her toys. However, as the time passed and she grew older, she learnt to swim and developed interest for the sport. Interestingly, her father, Khalid Zaman, who was also an international swimmer, wanted her to stay fit and to learn this game to the perfection. He taught her the techniques that put her hard work in correct direction, and was her first coach. The childhood had been full of physical activities. Sense of competition is another angle of her personality. Since the age of three, even at family level, they used to hold different sports’ competitions that kept them energized. Swimming is a challenging sport which requires perfect physical fitness to compete at any level. Due to non availability of more swimming pools for females in Pakistan, it was even tougher for her. At the age of 11, during 2011, she represented Pakistan at international level in 3rd World Islamic Games and it was an unforgettable moment when she won two gold medals and hoisted green Pakistani Flag fluttering high. Taking part in Olympics and representing Pakistan worldwide was a dream that has now come true. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey which continues to-date.

Throughout her career as a professional swimmer, many ups and downs came but she never left the ground. Receiving the award of Tamgh-i-Imtiaz was an honour for Pakistan. This is the 4th biggest civil award and nomination came as a surprise. But she thank to Allah for bestowing her with many success .

She made a comeback and she created history by winning 15 gold medals, which is another national record. She managed to break the national record in the 50-metre freestyle event with a time of 28.98 seconds, breaking Rubab Raza’s previous mark of 29.01 seconds. National Records
