Baz Muhammad Khan is a member of Awami National Party who got selected as a member of Central Election Commission and is now serving as a Vice president of Awami National Party. He is a son of Late Amir Muhammad Khan.
Biography and EducationBaz Muhammad Khan is a Pakistani politician and a member of senate. He is associated with Awami National Party (ANP) and is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan. He has been elected as Chairman of Overseas Pakistanis Affairs. Baz belongs from Bannu Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from where he has completed his studies too. He has a bachelors in Law from Law College Peshawar. He completed his degree in 1973.
Appointed Interim Central General SecretaryThe Election Commission of ANP decided the convening of a crucial meeting of the Central Election Commission of the party on September 7, at Bacha Khan Markaz at 11:00 A.M. All provincial chairmen of the election commission, all former provincial presidents and former central secretary general, Ihsan Wayen were also invited to the meeting. Those who attended were included Senator Baz Mohammad Khan, ex. MNA Bushra Gohar, chairman, provincial election commission, Bashir Khan Matta, member, provincial election commission KP, Aimal Wali Khan, secretary general provincial election commission, Jamila Gilani, Saddruddin Marwat, Jaffar Shah Khan and Nimroz Khan. Interim President of ANP and Chairman Central Election Commission Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel appointed Senator Baz Muhammad Khan as member of Central Election Commission and Acting Central General Secretary of the party.
Finalises more candidates for 2018 pollsAwami National Party has finalised some more candidates for the next general elections. ANP Vice-President Senator Baz Muhammad Khan said the party’s Central Working Committee had decided to award tickets to the candidates well before the announcement of the election schedule. He said the candidate’s position and public perception and his relationship with the party organisation in his or her constituency were also taken into account before the award of ticket. The ANP leader said that having a team for the election would give ample time to candidates and party for canvassing. He said that awarding tickets in advance also facilitated the leadership to address the reservations of the disgruntled workers. He added that party leaders would not have to worry about wooing the disgruntled workers during the election.
