The Pakistan Navy has always been due importance to the value of good education for our future generation. The intent and purpose thus necessitated is mobilization of our own resources which finally led to the establishment of Bahria Colleges, first at Islamabad and then at Karachi.

Bahria College Karsaz is a symbol of the educational aspirations of the Pakistan Navy and was commissioned with the special purpose of providing quality education to the children of the Naval community in particular and the public in general. Its administration duly keeps in view the importance of over all development of the students. The curriculum of the institution, therefore, includes alongwith various academic disciplines, the programmes for character building, physical growth and religious motivation, so that a foundation is laid on the basis of leadership and philosophy of life

  1. Bahria College Karachi is an autonomous institution governed by an independent body. The foundation of the College was laid on 30 August 1986 by Admiral I. A Sirohey NI(M), S.Bt., the then Chief of Naval Staff. Established as the premier provider of standardized learning, it is a symbol of the educational aspirations of the Pakistan Navy, commissioned with a special purpose of imparting quality education to the children of the Naval fraternity, in particular, and the public, in general.

Keeping in view the importance of an overall development and grooming of the students, personality, it is persistently striving to maintain curricular and co curricular excellence through a dynamic management, high quality teaching and training and upholding and inculcating the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline. [3] facalitiesThe College has well maintained Science Laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computers, Home Economics and Junior Science Labs) with state-of-the-art equipment for the performance of scientific experiments, measurement and data collection. Instructions are given in parallel to tutorials and practices on the under-lying principles of the respective subjects. Trained technicians facilitate the conduct of laboratory exercises in small manageable groups and ensure that adequate precautionary measures are in place for a safe and secure environment.

INSPECTION QA

  1. The annual and periodic inspection at Bahria College Karachi ascribes special significance to Quality Teaching, quality control compliance and assurance focusing on the state of cleanness in the premises and allied facilities- class rooms, science laboratories, commuter lab, Libraries, play grounds, laws, and infrastructure.
  2. The high level inspection team engages importance to quality teaching and conduct an incisive study of students' engagement, progress, achievements, curriculum implementation, lesson planning, class observation, and student teacher support, analyses of administration files and revenant documents and resources.
  3. The inspectors engage in an in-depth observation, analysis and interpretation on the basis of their finding and compile all inspection reports.

BOYS WING

  1. Boys wing have a morning and evening section. All students appearing for their SSC have to appear for the Federal Board, whereas in HSC the students have the option to appear from Federal Board or from the Karachi Board. The following groups are available for the students: Pre Medical, Pre Engineering and the General Group. In the evening section the students can opt for Commerce from the Karachi Board.
  2. The boys wing induct students from the primary section. Boys and Girls studying in co-education are then bifurcated into two different sections , which provides excellent facilities to the students.
  3. The BCK facilitates and provide opportunities to the students to improve and enhance their interpersonal skills, which will help them in their future endeavors to make them meaningful citizens of this country.
  4. The college provides excellent facilities in the form of well equipped and state of the art Science laboratories and Computer labs with high speed Internet facility for every student. The BCK library has large number of books for the students to borrow and use for reference. The BCK has large grassy grounds used for playing cricket, football, baseball and volleyball. It also has two basket ball courts. All the games are played under the supervision of trained physical instructors.

The Cambridge Section of the College was formed in 1995 with Ordinary Levels of Cambridge University, subsequently followed by Advance Levels. The programme of evaluation and review ensures that these forms of studies are always at the forefront of educational programmes which not only lay the foundations for future success of the students but are equally instrumental for their employment prospects. JUNIOR WING

  1. Junior wing was founded on 4th Sep.1975, to provide Montessori education. The section has been successfully implementing the principles of Maria Montessori, by using the equipment and techniques required for this method. It has a team of professional teachers and directresses who have been trained for imparting quality education to the young students.
  2. Children of the age 2 1/2 to 6 years are eligible for admissions, after clearing the required formalities. Junior Wing: Junior wing consists of three levels Beginners Advance Prep Children's of age 2 1/2 - 5 years School Timings : Monday Thursday (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 Noon) Friday (8:30 a.m to 11:00 a.m)

PRIMARY WING

  1. Primary wing was founded in 1978 in the initially established PN model school. This section imparts education of high standard in a disciplined environment. The students learn and study through exciting experiences and are also guided to excel academically. The faculty is kept abreast with the new teaching methodologies by training them through the Inset workshops held in BCK periodically. These training provide the teachers with new ideas to teach.
  2. The Primary Wing inducts the students of the Junior Wing in class I. Intake in various classes is subject to vacancies. The Primary Wing consists of classes I - V

  4. The Primary Section, Bahria College NORE-1 offers a good learning environment, where students excel academically. Besides the academic activities, students participate in Co-curricular activities like the Hand Writing Competition, Display of the projects etc. They also get the chance to participate in different National and International Competitions, for example International Kangaroo Mathematics Contests, SUPARCO  Essay Writing Competition, Pak Turk Mathematics Olympiad etc . Extra Curricular activities like Declamation Contest, Talent Show, provide opportunities to showcase their skills in different areas.

NAVY HEIGHTS CAMPUS

  1. Navy Heights Wing of BCK has its own purpose built school building and it has been upgraded to the lower secondary level.

Bahria College Karachi follows a blend of the Montessori and Kindergarten system at this level. In keeping with the child centered approach, Early Childhood Education at Bahria College Karachi is characterized by unfolding his cognitive abilities--memory, logic, reasoning, judgment, approximation, sequencing through transcending the narrow confines of teaching into adapting a conducive learning environment according to his/her developmental level. EXAMINATIONS

Examination of class IX, X will be conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad. Examination of class XI and XII will be conducted by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary education, Islamabad / Board of Intermediate Education Karachi and the result will be announced by the Boards as per their existing policy.
